The bible says, “Judge not, and you shall not be judged.
Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven.” If we don’t forgive, we’re blocking the ability for God to work His
fullness of blessing in our lives. But when we choose to forgive, we are
choosing God’s way and opening the door for Him to heal our hurts and restore
our souls.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean that what that person did was okay
or that you even have to get back into relationship with them. You choose to
forgive because that’s the only way to open the door to YOUR healing. You give
them power; you allow them to control you when you refuse to forgive. Every
time their name in mentioned itupsets you all over again. Understand that it
doesn’t hurt THEM one bit. Friend, do YOURSELF a favor. Release that burden so
that YOU can be whole again, and move on into a better future.
Today I want to strongly urge you to surrender your grudges
and your hurts to God and trust that He will be your Vindicator, your Redeemer,
and your Healer. Ask Him to search your heart and show you if there is any
unforgiveness blocking His blessing in your life. Ask Him to help you truly
release it so that you can walk in the freedom, peace, and victory He has for
you.
