Things Are About To Turn Around!

Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when it seems impossible for things to turn around. But during these challenging times, know that you’re not alone. God is still in control. He loves you and He has a plan to drive out the darkness!

The bible says, “When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in.” Notice this verse doesn’t say, “The light will come trickling in.” No, it says that the light will come BURSTING in! That means suddenly, you’ll be healed. Suddenly, you’ll be promoted. Suddenly, things will begin to turn around.

If you’ve been going through a difficult time, I want you to know today that it’s time to get ready for the goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get ready for restoration. You may have had that problem for a long, long time… but today could be the day that it start to turn around.

I heard Joyce Meyer say one time that God has two speeds: slowly & suddenly. It’s in those moments we think we’re doomed and things will never change that God is working behind the scenes and it seems to be going very slowly. But that’s when He’s doing the most work, putting in place the right people and circumstances for your best results. Then a month, a year, maybe year(S) later, there’s the “suddenly.”

Friend, I’m here to tell you that a “suddenly” is coming your way. God wants His glory to be seen all over you. You’re His prized possession and He wants you to stand out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around you can see His goodness on you! So keep believing, keep hoping and keep declaring His promises because His light is about to come bursting in!

When God Opens The Floodgates of Heaven

Nothing can stop the force of mighty rushing water. Three or four feet of water can pick up a car that weighs thousands of pounds and move it all around. You’ve probably seen news reports where whole houses were swept away during a huge flood or cities in a tidal wave.

In the same way, you may have obstacles that look insurmountable; dreams that look unattainable, but let me encourage you that when God releases a flood of His power, nothing will be able to stop you! No matter the physical, financial, or relational problem you may be experiencing right now, when God opens up the floodgates they’ll be no match for you!

I know you may be thinking how you don’t have the connections or resources you need, but when God releases a flood of favor, people will come out of the woodwork to help you out. Good breaks, opportunity, the right people will search you out.

Just like in 1st Kings, when Elijah told his servant to keep checking for rain when there had been a draught in the land for 3 ½ years, you need to keep your faith. The bible says, the 7th time his servant went to check that he did indeed see rain clouds. Then the floodgates of heaven were opened and there was a great rain. You need to stay faithful and get ready – not for a trickle, not a stream, but a FLOOD of God’s favor, a tidal wave of God’s goodness and increase is coming your way!

Flood of Favor

In First Chronicles, David was facing an impossible situation. He and his men were up against a huge army of Philistines. (This was a different time than when he faced Goliath) His army of men was greatly outnumbered. In the natural, they didn’t have a chance. But God gave David the promise that He would go with them, and that they would defeat this army.

David went out and did just that. God gave them the victory. David was so overwhelmed with God’s goodness that he tried to describe it. He said, “God has broken through to my enemies like the breaking forth of water.” One translation says, “Like a raging flood.” Notice, David likened God’s power to a flood. He was saying, “When God shows up, it’s going to be like a flood of favor, a flood of strength, a flood of good breaks.”

Today, remember that what God did for David, He will do for you. The bible says He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your part is to keep believing, keep trusting, keep obeying and keep thanking Him. Trust that He is directing your steps and will overwhelm you with favor. It’s not far off in the distance – God made this promise and you are closer than you think to seeing that promise come true!

Flood Conditions

Sometimes on the news the weather person will announce that we’re under a Flash Flood Warning. That means conditions are ripe for possible flooding. Water could get out of its normal boundaries. It could overflow and increase in such a way that drainage and bayous are overwhelmed.

Just like that weather person, I’m here to announce to you that you’re under a Flash Flood Warning. Conditions are just right. You’ve honored God. You’ve been faithful. You’ve passed the test. Now God is saying, “There’s about to be a flood, but not with water. You’re going to see a flood of My goodness, a flood of opportunity, a flood of healing, a flood of good breaks to where you are overwhelmed with God’s favor. It’s beyond your expectations. It puts you into overflow.”

Just like when God flooded the earth because of how toxic it had become, and began again through Noah, He’s washing away the toxic things and people from your life so you can begin again. Don’t resist it, friend. Embrace it! Today, you need to start getting ready. Get your expectancy up. Be on the lookout for His goodness because a flood of favor is coming your way!

God Doesn’t Expect You To Be Perfect

Sometimes as Christians we get even more weighted down by our failures and comparing ourselves to others than non-believers. I think that’s because we can’t be perfect but we feel pressure from the world to be perfect. Understand this though, whether you can only jump a few feet and the person next to you can jump many yards – neither one of you are going to clear the grand canyon without help.

God doesn’t expect you to be perfect, He expects you to be obedient and faithful. Know that whether you’ve sinned and fallen short of God’s glory a little or a lot it’s like when a power line gets broken – whether it’s cut once or 50 times, it’s still broken and needs help being restored.

Today, quit letting your thoughts of defeat and wrong comparisons get the best of you. That’s why Jesus came, that we could have a relationship with the One who Created us. Turn to Him, lean on Him, and know that He is always with you – even when you don’t feel it or see the evidence of it.

Faith calls us to rest on His promises and believe that He will honor them. So keep believing and seeking Him because God wouldn’t have allowed something in your life without the full intention of using it to somehow make you better.

Acceptance

God loves you and has accepted you, no matter what your nationality is. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or don’t have. It’s not based on your work title or the size of your house or whether you drive a fancy car or not. God wants you free from everything that would hold you back in this life.

Your heavenly Father wants to pour out His abundant blessing on all who honor Him and deliver you from placing your value in material things rather than His favor on your life. It says in Galatians that in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek or even male or female. That means God’s not judging you based on physical conditions; He’s looking at your heart.

Don’t let the enemy lie to you and tell you that God is blessing everyone else but you. The bible also says, “...God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.” He doesn’t judge like people do, including you – and you know you can judge hardest of all on yourself.

Thank Him for His acceptance, love and approval today. Choose to do what is right and honor Him with your attitude, words and actions. Receive His favor and blessing so you can rise up to the full potential He’s placed in you and experience all of the accomplishments He’s lined up for you.

After Jesus Was Born…

After Jesus was born the bible tells us that wise men came from the east to bow before Him and worship Him. They went to great lengths just to get a glimpse of the child and traveled a long distance for many months, following the star. And when they saw Him, they were so overwhelmed. The scripture says they fell on their faces to honor and worship Him.

The reverential fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. That means that we should have a humble honor and respect for Him — just like the wise men did. We are wise when we set everything else in life aside in order to seek Him. We are wise when we worship Him and give Him all that we are. We are wise when we take time to honor Him.

The bible says that God is a rewarder of the people who diligently seek after Him. So today, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and all that His free gift of sacrifice gave us, remember to honor Him, put Him first in your heart, mind, thoughts and actions. As you continue to give Him that respect in all you do, you’ll increase in wisdom and discernment, and you’ll move forward into the fullness of blessing He has in store for you. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours <3

How To Achieve Greater Blessings

The main thing Jesus did everywhere He went and no matter what His own circumstances were, was be good to people. Think about that for a moment. We all have an assignment. You could say that we all have a ministry. It may not be up in front of people. It may not be overseas as a missionary. But each and every one of our ministries, no matter how big or small should start with being good to people.

When goodness flows out of our hearts, it catches people’s attention. It causes them to want to know more about what we have. We can SAY we care all day long, but people only believe that which we DO. If I really care as I say I do, I’ll be good to you. God said to Abraham, “I will bless you and you will be a blessing.” One key to being blessed is: are you willing to be a blessing?

When a friend or relative succeeds, how do you respond? Some people wonder, “Why not me?” Haters say, “It won’t last long.” But you have to remember, the way you respond to other’s success will determine the level of YOUR OWN success.

Whether you respond in a negative or positive way, you’re sowing seeds for your future. God wants you to be successful. His directions are for your good. He doesn’t want jealousy or greed to enter your life because He knows it will rob you of His best for you.

Today, make it a point to encourage others and celebrate with them in their success, no matter how big or small. This is the motivation behind why I write what I write, post what I post and speak what I speak – because I genuinely love to see people reach their full potential. Strive to always sow seeds of blessing for others and you’ll keep the door open for greater blessings in your own life!

Pass The Small Tests

Many people expect the voice of God to boom like a loudspeaker but scripture tells us that He speaks in a still, small voice. To us, it seems like an impression inside. We think, “I know I shouldn’t gossip. I know I should take steps to quit my bad habits. I know I should take better care of myself.” The “I knows” are God talking to you. Don’t ignore it; learn to be quick to obey.

The bible says, “If anyone knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” A lot of the time we know what we should do but we make excuses to justify not doing it. But, we have to understand God doesn’t prompt us to do it for His sake. He asks us to do it for our own sake; to make us better and develop the best in us.

I’ve learned through much of my own trial and error that before God will release big blessings for you, He will give you small tests. Too often we dismiss it and think, “Oh, that’s no big deal.” But if you don’t pass these small tests it will keep you from the big things God has lined up for you.

Today, don’t put off the little things that you know you should be doing any longer. Take a step of faith and obey Him. As you’re faithful in the little things and pass the small tests, He will be faithful to lead you into the greater things and bigger blessings.

It’s Never Too Late To START

What could be worse than to come to the end of life filled with regrets? “If only I had pursued that dream. If only I had been more disciplined. If only I had taken that step of faith. If only I had forgiven.” Don’t let that be you. You may have put things off a lot longer than you should have but the good news is that it’s never too late to START. You can still become everything God has created you to be.

Today, make the decision to stop holding onto your excuses. If you keep making excuses, you’ll never be truly ready to start. Don’t wait for a more “convenient time” or New Year’s Day or when the kids go back to school from break or when things slow down at the office. It says in Ecclesiastes, “If we wait for all the conditions to be just right, we’ll never move off of dead center.”

Ask God to renew your mind and He will. Commit to strengthening your resolve and He will help you. Take the step to embrace every God-given opportunity; make the decision to just START! Be a n-o-w person. Your destiny is calling out, and it’s never too late to be all that God has created you to be.

God’s Not Finished With You!

So many people aren’t really living to the full, the way God intends. Maybe they went through a disappointment or experienced a failure. Maybe someone hurt them and now they’ve lost their joy and settled where they are.

Listen friend, God has another victory in store for you! You wouldn’t be breathing unless God had something amazing in your future. It’s time to get your passion back and be determined to really live out all of your God-given days!

The bible says that God wants to bring you to a flourishing finish, not a fizzled-out finish. Don’t let disappointment or self-pity hold you back. God has promised that what was meant for your harm He will turn around and use for your good.

Get this down in your spirit today – not only will your Creator bring you out, but He’s going to bring you out better off than you were before. Receive it by faith right now and press forward into the abundant, fulfilled life He has in store for you!

Is Anything Too Hard For God?

In Genesis, God promised Sarah that she was going to have a child. At first she didn’t believe it. She thought she was too old. She thought her time had passed. But do you know what God said to her? He simply asked, “Sarah, is there anything too hard for the Lord?” I believe God is saying the same thing to us today. “Is there anything too hard for Me?”

Do you think your dreams are too big for God to bring to pass? Do you think your debt is too much for God to deliver you out of? Do you think you have to just live with sickness/disability the rest of your life? Do you feel so under attack that that God can’t protect you?

Get a new vision today! There is nothing too hard for God! Your loving, faithful, heavenly Father is saying today, “I am all-powerful and I can turn any situation around!” It doesn’t matter what things look like in the natural nor how long it’s been that way – we serve a supernatural God and don’t you forget it!

The next time you think, “God’s promises are just too good to be true,” that’s a lie from the enemy! God wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams! Take the limits off of Him and choose to believe His promises are for you, too. He loves you more than any human can fathom or explain. Choose to trust Him at His word – that He has wonderful things in store for you!

Barriers In Prayer

Many times, people wonder why their prayers aren’t answered. They feel distant from God but can’t explain why. They love God and try to do “all the right things” but deep inside they feel like something isn’t right.

Scripture tells us there are many things that can hinder our prayers. One of them is unforgiveness, “And whenever you’re praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”

God knows that holding onto unforgiveness is destructive, because it puts up a wall between us and God. But when we choose to forgive, the wall comes down. Forgiveness is setting the prisoner free and realizing the prisoner was you.

When you go before God in prayer, ask Him to search your heart and mind. See if there is any unforgiveness that may be blocking your prayers and affecting your relationship with Him. The other person may have been wrong, they may have hurt you deeply, but there‘s nothing worth losing closeness with your heavenly Father.

Understand that forgiveness doesn’t excuse the other person – it just means you are trusting God with it. Today, when you pray, choose forgiveness so that you don’t let anything stand in the way of the good things God has in store for your future!

What Did He SAY?

David said, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” He praised God for making him in an amazing way and declared that what God had done was wonderful. David called himself a masterpiece. David said he would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! Is that how you started your day?

Many people think they are being humble by using their words to put themselves down. They say, “Oh, I’m not that talented. I’m not built for this. I wasn’t made for that. I’m not as attractive as her. I’m not as smart as him” But really, we should be bold like David and say, “I’m amazing. I’m a masterpiece. God made me and He doesn’t make junk! I am equipped, I am empowered!”

Today, make the decision to stop putting yourself down; stop focusing on your flaws and comparing yourself to others. Stop using your words to declare defeat over your life. Your Creator says “you are a masterpiece!” It’s time to get in agreement with God and realize how much He loves you. It’s time to realize how special you are. Make the shift by changing your words and start saying what David said!

We Also Believe And Therefore We SPEAK

I heard Joel Osteen tell of a man he knew who was believing to pay his house off. It was a standard 30-year mortgage and he had 23 years left. There didn’t seem to be any way he could do it. But he was bold enough to start speaking over his life the promises of his heavenly Father; Jehovah Jireh; the Lord our Provider. He chose to declare that God was his source, not his job. He chose to replace defeated thoughts with thoughts of victory, knowing that even though things can SEEM impossible, our God can DO the impossible.

Joel went on to share that several years ago the man received an inheritance from a family member that he had never met before. He didn’t even know they were related. This enabled the man to not only pay his house off but he paid a friend's house off as well. What was that? Explosive blessings!

Friend, when you believe God, you position yourself for a miracle. When you seek and obey Him you set yourself under the open windows of heaven. The bible says, “It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore SPEAK.” Something amazing happens when you declare His promises out loud – you activate the favor and power of the Creator of the universe on your behalf!

Don’t just hope for but be sure to DECLARE these promises over your life. Don’t let the enemy or the haters around you have the last word. Talk back to your opposition! Be persistent and diligent in this and you will see the victory and blessing God has in store for you!

SPEAK To Your Mountains

We’ve all had seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report or maybe you’re facing a financial obstacle. But the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind.

Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing to believe God’s report which says I am blessed. I am favored. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am whole. I’m a victor, not a victim!”

The bible says, “And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done.”

Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out – God does. You’ve got to speak to those mountains in your life! Declare favor over those situations. Instead of talking to God about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your God is! As you speak to your mountains they will be moved and you will step up into the fullness of peace, health and prosperity that God has prepared for you!

Harvest Of Blessing

Are you praying for something that’s taking longer than you thought or expected? No matter how long you may have been standing on God’s promises, don’t give up! Your season IS coming. The bible says, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up”

Choose to be around people who are going to encourage you and fill your heart and mind with God’s faithfulness. Let positivity and thankfulness be the only things coming out of your mouth and dwelling in your mind. Press on in faith and keep an attitude of victory. Be encouraged today because God is faithful and His promises are true.

Ask God daily to refresh and renew you. To fill you with peace; fill you with strength. Ask for His help to make wise choices and stand firm until you see His promises manifest.  Don’t get tired of doing what is right because your harvest of blessing is on the way!

He Is Working – Right Now!

God placed on my heart strongly today that you need to be reminded of this so – right now, God is working behind the scenes in your life! No matter what you may be facing, no matter what trial you may be going through, God has a plan to turn things around in your favor.

RIGHT NOW, He is working out a plan for your good. RIGHT NOW, He is orchestrating the right people to come across your path. RIGHT NOW, He is arranging the right opportunities to open up to you.

You may not see it in the natural, but look with your eyes of faith today. The bible says, “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” So keep standing. Keep believing. Keep hoping. Keep following His Word. Focus on His goodness in your life, knowing that He rewards the people who seek after Him.

As you meditate on the faithfulness of God and show your love for Him by following His direction, you will see His great plan come to pass. You’ll experience His peace and joy and embrace the restoration and victory He has prepared for you!

Why Do I Hurt If God Really Cares?

The bible tells us that it is the thief — the enemy — who kills, steals and destroys. God’s plan is to bring you life. We have to remember, the enemy uses circumstances to get our eyes off of God. He tries to steal our peace and keep us focused on this earthly realm. But when we lift up our eyes to our Creator, when we hold fast to our profession of faith, that’s how we stay in victory.

When we encounter difficulty and tragedy we have to trust that God is right there offering His shelter of peace to our troubled hearts. He has a plan to lift you up out of despair and set you in a place of stability. He has a plan to restore, renew and revive your soul.

Friend, when the day of trouble comes, remember that God promised He is with you and for you. He’s not the one who is against you. The bible says, “In the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”

Keep your eyes on your loving heavenly Father. The bible goes on to say that He has a good plan for you; that He will make your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. Lift your eyes to Him because He is the Author and Finisher of your faith — a very present help in the day of trouble. Ask for and receive His peace and strength and trust Him to lead you in the path of victory all the days of your life.

In Your Darkest Valley

When Moses was born, the king ordered that all the male babies were to be killed. You can imagine how devastated his mother must have been. She could have easily given up, but instead, she chose to believe that God was still in control. She put Moses into a little basket and sent him down the Nile River. It just so happened that Pharaoh’s daughter was out taking a bath — at the right place and the right time. She heard the cries coming from the basket. She opened it up and saw baby Moses and fell in love with the boy. She was so excited and said, “I’m going to take him as my own.” She looked at her maids and said, “We need to find somebody that can nurse the baby.”

One of the maids said, “I know just who to get.” She went and found who? Moses’ mother. Moses’ mother was not only able to raise her son, but she got paid for doing it on top of that! Only God could orchestrate all of that.

The bible says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Today, remember that even in loss, heartache or disappointment, God will line up the right people and the right opportunities to lead you into victory over all that seems to be coming against you now. Just choose to trust Him and He will work ALL things together in your ultimate best interest!

God’s Protection

This past summer I was outside at a friend’s house standing under a big oak tree talking with some people. There had been a severe storm the day before and the trees were very stressed. After we got done talking and walked away, about ten seconds later, this huge branch fell right where we were standing. If we had still been there, we could’ve all have been seriously hurt. We walked away at just the right time.

I’m sure you can remember times as I do, when you barely missed being in an accident or you went through an incident that could’ve been devastating but you walked away unharmed. These things aren’t a lucky break; it’s the goodness of God directing our steps. The bible says, “ ‘Because he loves me,’ says the LORD, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.’ ”

Today, I encourage you to be on the lookout for God’s goodness. Acknowledge His name; acknowledge His love. Listen to the still, small voice and let Him direct your steps. He will lead you, guide you and protect you all the days of your life!

I Will Rise!

Anytime you set out to do something great in life, there will be critics. If you’re going to be a great businessperson, spouse, student, leader or coach, there will be opposition. And the more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out.

Stand strong though, the bible says, “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise...” When you start stretching to a new level and pursuing what God has placed in your heart, the jealous people, the critical people, the small-minded people will come out of the woodwork and start making negative comments – but you don’t have to let that distract you.

If you’re under pressure today, if the critical voices are coming against you, know that it’s because you are making a difference. Don’t let them throw you off course. Instead, dig your heels in and say, “I will not get drawn into battles that don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what others think; it matters what God thinks!”

Today, look beyond the critics. Stand firm against adversity. Focus on God and the good plan He has for you. Ask Him for peace and victory as you press forward to what lies ahead and receive the blessings that He has prepared for you!

Right & Wrong Relationships

Your destiny is too big to accomplish on your own. That’s why it’s so important to be connected to the right people. We have to understand that God has already arranged for certain people to speak faith into you. He’s already placed people in your path that will inspire you, challenge you and help you accomplish your dreams. Sadly though, the reason some people never reach their highest potential is because they never get away from the wrong people.

You need to recognize today that not everyone can go where God is taking you. This may mean cutting people out of your life who only perpetuate negativity. The drama and stress they bring to your life can only distract you from your God-given destiny. I’ve had to do this many times in my life and I’ve become very comfortable with it – not because I’m heartless but because I want God’s will for my life more than people’s will for me.

I thank God every day for placing the right people in my life AND for removing the wrong ones. I thank Him for helping me to discern the right connections He has for me. Ask Him to give you the strength to release any wrong relationships so that you’ll have room in your life for the people He’s chosen to connect you with.

Yes, in choosing God’s will over what people would have you do may sometimes result in hurt feelings on their part but which would you rather have – people upset with you? Or miss God’s best for you? Friend, you don’t have time to spend on people who are always bringing you down. I assure you, if you’ll get the wrong people out of the way then you’ll see God bring in the right people and you’ll start to fulfill the amazing call He’s placed on your life.

Something New Has Already Begun

Sometimes it’s easy to see the hand of God moving, and sometimes the storms of life can cloud our vision. But no matter where you are in life today, meditate on this truth – that God is working even when you can’t see Him.

Like a seed buried deep in the ground, it may seem dark and lonely and there may be dirt all around but that is the place where life springs forth. The bible says, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun!” Trust that God is doing a new thing! You can trust Him because He is faithful!

His plan for you today is blessing. Even if you don’t see it right now, the bible says His plan is to give you a future and a hope. It says His plan is to do a new thing in your life. So let go of the thoughts of the past and open your heart to what God is doing TODAY. Ask Him to show you what He’s doing. Ask Him to reveal it to your heart. Seek Him and you will find Him and see the brand new think He’s doing in you!

Your Set Time of Favor

Today’s title brings to my mind a scripture from Psalms, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.” One thing I’ve learned in my life is that God likes to outdo Himself. His dream for your life is so much bigger than your own. His ways are higher and He has an appointed time of favor for your life.

I want to speak this over each of you today – God is going to take you places that you never thought possible. He is going to open up doors that you never have imagined. He’s going to bring talent out of you that you didn’t even know you had. This is the time to get excited about your future!

Your destiny is not determined by the economy, how you were raised, or your education. Your destiny is determined by Almighty God. Don’t wait ‘til January 1st to start hoping – NOW, this very moment, is the time to get your hopes up!

I want to encourage you to set your thoughts on the things you know God placed in your heart. The time has come for those promises to manifest! It’s time for you to move up higher to a new level. The good news is that God has already laid out victory before you.

Go ahead and thank Him for the good things He has planned for you. Trust and believe in your heavenly Father that NOW is your set time of favor; it’s your time to rise higher; it’s your time to experience every breakthrough and every blessing He’s stored up for you!

I declare with you right now that in the days ahead you’re going to stumble into it. Get ready because God is going to raise you up into the life of blessing He has prepared for you!

It IS Coming

If you will keep God first in everything you do, He promises that He is going to crown your efforts with success. Because you diligently seek Him, a reward is coming. Favor is coming. Good breaks are coming. Promotion is coming. A shift is coming. Healing is coming. Restoration is coming.

It may seem like it’s taking a long time; you may feel like you’ve been holding on forever, but keep holding on. The bible says, “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” The promise will be fulfilled through faith and patience.

But we often confuse waiting with doing nothing and that’s a crucial mistake. It’s in this time that we must be getting prepared. NOW is the time to get ready. God doesn’t want you to live an average, ordinary life. Because you depend on Him, He’s going to increase you. You are going to bear much fruit. He is going to make you more productive. You’re going to get more done in less time. He is going to make your life easier and take you where you could not go on your own. It’s going to be greater than you ever even dreamed of!

Friend, I want to encourage you today. No matter how desperate your situation may seem, ask God to direct you so that you’re in position to receive everything He has prepared for you then get ready, because it’s coming! Every promise you’ve stood in faith for, every dream He’s placed in your heart that you’ve struggled for is coming to fulfillment and I declare it with you in Jesus’ name!

Contentment

In life, sometimes it’s easy to get so focused on our dreams and goals that we tune out everything else. We can get to the point where we’re not going to be happy until we see those things happen. But I’ve found that if we HAVE TO have something in order to be happy, our lives are out of balance.

Paul said in the bible, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” There is so much peace to be found in being content no matter what’s happening around you. The moment you tie your happiness to a certain thing or person then it becomes source of stress rather than peace. It’s something you have to constantly tend to and/or worry about.

See, when our goals and dreams start to frustrate us; when we lose our peace and don’t enjoy life, that’s a clear sign that we’re holding on to something or someone too tightly. What’s the solution? You’ve got to release it. Freedom comes when you say, “God, I’m turning it all over to You. You know my desires and what’s best for me. I’m choosing to trust You and trust Your timing.”

When we learn to be content no matter what the circumstances, it takes away the power of the enemy. It takes away his ability to frustrate us. Not only that but by this we’re showing our faith in God and the bible says it’s impossible to please God without faith. In that same scripture it goes on to say, “whoever comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.” When you choose to trust in His timing you can live in peace and you can rest in Him, knowing that His promises are true so you can expect good things in your future.

Where’s My Promised Land??

In the bible it says that God didn’t lead the Israelites by the shortest route to the Promised Land; He took them the long way on purpose because they were not prepared for war. God knew that if He would have taken them into the land too quickly they would have been easily defeated. Their enemies were much bigger and much more experienced.

I’m sure they prayed many times, “God, we’re uncomfortable out here in the desert. We’re hot. We’re tired. Where’s our Promised Land?” But God didn’t answer that prayer, not because He was trying to make their lives miserable, but because He knew what was up in front of them. He had to prepare them to step into the fullness of their destiny.

The bible says, “LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear.” God has already laid out the plan for your life. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it.

If you’re in a difficult situation that’s taking longer than you had hoped, take heart today. Trust this as confirmation that God is still very much in control of your circumstances. Be patient and obedient as He prepares you. He’s getting you ready to handle the amazing level He’s taking you to!

Further, Faster

I believe like the bible says, that God wants to do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond what you could even dare to ask or think. He can take you further, faster than you could ever dream. God can speed things up on your behalf.

The bible says, “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” Because you honor and trust Him, things that should have taken you a lifetime to accomplish will only take you a fraction of the time. This is the kind of God we serve.

We see this all throughout scripture. In just one day, David went from a shepherd boy to the one who led the Israelite army to victory. Ruth was a poor widow collecting scraps in the field and God sent Boaz to her. She went from begging in the field to owning the field. God breathed in her direction. God took her further, faster.

Remember that the thoughts you think and the words you say are prophesying your future. If you want to see a shift occur in your life you’ve got to get in agreement with God and say, “Yes God, this is for me. I thank You that I am coming into my destiny sooner than I imagined!”

Choose today to trust that your loving heavenly Father is working behind the scenes on your behalf. When you decide to exchange your plan for His, you will see Him begin to take you further, faster than you could ever imagine.

Take The Limits Off of God

We serve a supernatural God. He can do what medicine can’t do. He’s not limited by your education, your background, the family you came from. He’s not moved by the things people have spoken over you. He’s not up in heaven all frantic, trying to figure out how to get you to your destiny. He knows the end from the beginning. He already has solutions to problems you’ve not even had. He is all powerful and all knowing.

People may have tried to push you down but if you’ll just remove those strongholds and get into agreement with God, He will push you up. He will take you where you could not go on your own. YOU don’t have to figure it all out. All God asks you to do is believe. When you believe in His promises then truly, all things are possible.

Choose today to believe and you will see doors open that should have never opened. God will take you from the back to the front. Don’t let negative words from others, or even the ones you yourself replay in your head, hold you down. Remember that we serve a God who has no limits! Get in step with Him and you can live your life without limits, too!

Giving

Paul said in 2 Corinthians, “I want you to excel in the gracious ministry of giving.” He could have said he wanted you to excel in business, excel in education, excel in performance – that’s all good. But he said what he wanted you to be really great at, what he wanted you to excel in, is giving.

I used to be a selfish person. I acted as though the world revolved around me and for the most part it looked to be true. But then I went through a long season of loss and struggle. People seemed to come out of the woodwork to use me, lie to me, cheat on me. I lost ALL of my close relatives (went home to heaven), friends, influence, money. It was a very devastating, eye-opening period in my life. But it brought me so much closer to God and it developed me into being a more gracious, loving, forgiving, generous person.

I had made up my mind then that I wanted to live my life as a giver and not a taker. If you’ve seen my Facebook page or been around me in person you know I love to motivate and help people. I can imagine no greater compliment than when I’m done here and go to my eternal home, for people to think of me as someone who made their life better... in ANY way.

Friends, in this season of giving I want to encourage you to let that be your desire, too; to leave people better off than when you first met them. Let your requests to God begin with asking Him to show you ways that you can benefit others. When you put God first and honor Him in all that you do you will begin to see His amazing blessings in a greater way, and on such a level you didn’t even know existed!

God Looks Beyond The Surface

Your Creator can see things in you that other people cannot see. The bible says, "The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Sometimes people will try to push you down or make you feel insignificant. Sometimes our own thoughts will try to convince us that we don’t measure up. But God looks beyond the surface, beyond the mistakes you’ve made, beyond what somebody said about you and sees your incredible value.

You may think, “But I’ve messed up. I’ve blown it. I’ve failed. It’s too late for me.” No! God still sees more in you. God doesn’t just see what you are – He sees what you can become. You may have made some mistakes but God still sees victory on the inside of you. People may have tried to push you down but God can cause you to rise higher.

The key is that you’ve got to do your part and get rid of those condemning thoughts. Get rid of what somebody has spoken over you and start renewing your mind. Down deep, start believing that you are redeemed, restored, talented and valuable. Even if you have made mistakes, believe what God says, which is that great things are in store for you still. God’s not finished with you! He looks beyond the surface and sees your potential. Stay in step with Him and watch His plan for your life unfold.

Don’t Believe The Lies That Failure Suggests

A teacher told him that he was too stupid to learn anything and that he should go into a field where he could succeed by virtue of his pleasant personality – who was he? Thomas Edison.

They were turned down by a recording studio because the executives didn’t like their sound and went on to inform them that guitar music is on the way out – who were they? The Beatles.

When he didn’t make the varsity basketball team in 10th grade he went home, locked himself in his room and cried – who was he? Michael Jordan.

He was fired from the newspaper because they said he lacked imagination and he had no original ideas – who was he? Walt Disney.

Friends, no genuinely successful person succeeds without suffering some failures; getting knocked down a few times. The key is found in how you respond. If you’re a believer in Christ the good news is that you have the Creator of the universe on your side!

The bible says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” These are the hidden dreams that you haven’t told anybody about. And one way you know they’re from God is that they’re so big that you can’t accomplish them on your own.

God does this on purpose so that it will take faith. Faith is what pleases God. Faith is what allows Him to do the impossible. So God will put something big before you, where you don’t have all the talent, the education, the connections or the confidence. God will even allow certain obstacles that we can’t overcome on our own. But take heart because He says He will never leave you nor forsake you! He also says that what He’s placed in your heart, He will not stop until it’s completed.

Today, if you’ve been believing God for something but it seems like everywhere you turn there’s an obstacle, a setback, a negative word – don’t give up! Remember, God knows exactly where you are. He knows the desires He’s placed within you. He’s promised to work things together for your good. He’s promised to finish what He started. As you delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart!

Represent!

The bible is full of examples of people who said one thing yet did another. Who claimed to be believers, when it was convenient and/or to make themselves seem important. I want to quote just a few of these scriptures before I continue:

“Elijah came near all the people and said, ‘How long will you be divided between two ways of thinking? If the Lord is God, follow Him. But if Baal is god, then follow him.’”

Jesus said, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I will spit you out of my mouth.” (One version says that type of behavior makes Jesus want to vomit.)!

Jesus said, “Listen! There is a group that belongs to Satan. They say they are Jews [believers], but they are liars. They are not true Jews. I will make them come before you and bow at your feet. They will know that you are the people I have loved [the true believers].”

Friends, why Jesus would rather you be outright against Him than to HALF follow Him is because it’s like a train carrying needed supplies that goes off the track but half is on and half is off. It’s better if it completely derailed than to stay on the track just a little bit, preventing other trains from getting through. Jesus is saying that being a hypocrite hurts His cause more than if you didn’t believe at all, because when you preach one thing and live another, it keeps others from wanting to seek Him.

The type of believer God wants you to be is one that draws more people to Him, not one that leaves a bad taste in their mouth about Him. Who is attracted to mean-spirited, gossiping, rude, lazy, negative, untrustworthy, hypocrites? Exactly! Now, how much more appealing are joyful, gracious, peaceful, mature, stable, positive, uplifting people?

So how do you really think God wants you to represent Him? Read 1 Corinthians 13. Honor God and He will move mountains out of your way! His blessings will chase you down! Represent Him accordingly and He will cause you to go further and faster than you ever dreamed possible!

Close The Door On Fear

So many people today are living with less than God’s best because they’ve allowed fear to creep in and take root in their lives. Fear is the greatest weapon the enemy uses to try to hold us back. But fear is not from God. The bible tells us that fear brings torment. It’s designed to paralyze us and keep us from God’s blessings.

The good news is that God is greater than fear. His power in you is greater than any power that comes against you. But, in order to walk in His power you have to close the door on the enemy. The bible says, “Do not give the devil an opportunity to work.” See, the enemy can’t have access to your life unless you open a door and give him access. That’s why we have to be careful about what we watch, what we listen to, what we read and what we say. When we open ourselves to fear, we give the enemy an opportunity to steal our peace and confidence.

If you’ve allowed fear into any area of life take a moment to go to God and ask Him to revive the power and confidence in Him that He intended for you to have. Conquering the enemy starts by making the choice to close the door on fear and you do that by receiving God’s love and meditating on His promises. Remind yourself of His truth and then speak His truth over your life. Let Him set you free and lead you into victory as you close the door on fear.

Your Times Are In God’s Hands

One thing I’ve learned is that God doesn’t always work on our time table. In fact, He rarely does. But, in a single moment God can change your life! All throughout the bible we see examples of how God was working behind the scenes and seemingly turned things around instantly for His people. It tells us that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, which means if He did it for them He can and will instantly turn things around for you, too!

You may be going through some difficulty today but be encouraged – the bible says that your times are in God’s hands. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. He does want to pour out His favor on you. He wants to take you further than you ever dreamed possible. He wants to do such a work in your life that’s beyond what you could even imagine!

Let this truth sink down into your heart today. Resist discouragement by speaking God’s promises over your future. You are a conqueror! You will lend and not borrow! No weapon formed against you shall prosper! God is working ALL things for your good! God will satisfy you with long life! He is your Healer, your Restorer, your Protector and He will make a way for you – not just when you see no way but ESPECIALLY WHEN you see no way!

New Life

Can you remember the last big dream in your heart? Maybe you were determined to excel in your career or to be a better partner or to get healthier. You probably started out with enthusiasm but maybe things got a little difficult or didn’t happen as quickly as you would have liked. Oftentimes, when things don’t go as planned people decide, “I’m just going to settle here. It’s not exactly what I wanted but it’s good enough.”

The bible says, “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’...” Friend, in this new season I want to encourage you to recognize that you were made for more than “good enough.” You were made to increase, to excel, to grow and stretch!

Every day is an opportunity to begin again. Why don’t you take a step of faith today and embrace the new life God promised you? Not only does Christ offer new life in eternity but He offers new life here on earth. Why don’t you pick up those dreams and be determined to see them through? It’s a new day and if you let Him, He will make everything new in your life!

The Gracious Hand of God

Have you ever thought about the fact that the victories you saw in your past weren’t just your own doing? The bible says, “For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.”

When you made it through a difficult time, when you received an unexpected break, when things turned around for no reason, it was because God favored you. You wouldn’t even be alive today if not for the gracious hand of God on your life!

You need to know today that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have as much education as someone else. It doesn’t matter how influential someone else’s family is. It doesn’t matter what your background is. God’s favor can, has, and will take you places and to heights you can’t go on your own.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He places something undeniable on the inside of you. Something that can’t be measured, can’t be put on paper, and can’t be explained — it is His favor shining down on you! Other people may not be able to figure it out. All they know is that you’ve got ‘something’ — that’s the gracious hand of God.

Right now, in this moment, let this truth sink down deeply into your heart. Don’t be discouraged by what you can see, be encouraged by what you can’t see! Put your shoulders back and go out with faith and confidence knowing that His gracious hand is upon you. All that you thought was holding you back is no match for your heavenly Father! He WILL deliver you and you WILL experience victory and restoration in every way you need it!

Do It With All Your Might

Did you know that when you do something to the best of your ability it honors God and opens the door to greater blessings? No matter what we do, we should give it our best. When God sees you doing all you CAN do that’s when He takes over to do what you CAN’T do on your own.

This is true even in the little things. For example, when you’re doing the dishes or mowing the lawn, don’t drag around frustrated. Mow with enthusiasm! With every step, thank God that your legs work. Thank Him that you’re healthy and strong.

At the office, don’t just do enough to get by. You’re not working unto people, you’re working unto God! Do it with your whole heart.

When you volunteer at church, don’t wake up and think, “Aw, why did I volunteer? I want to sleep in!” No, serve Him with all your heart because that's the part that honors God most.

Today, find ways to be thankful. The fact that you’re reading this tells me (1) you can see, (2) you have an electronic device, (3) you know God – there’s three things right there you can start with! The bible says, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might...” So bloom right where you are and trust that when you honor God, He’ll honor you. He’ll give you peace, health and blessing now and for the rest of your life!

Key To Lasting Happiness

The key to being happy is a grateful heart. I’ve seen people who have a lot MORE than me who seem grumpy about everything and people who have a lot LESS than me who seem to have the best attitude. You can’t wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to be happy. Someone out there will always have more than you and someone will always have less.

There is always, always something to be thankful for. If you need help, seek out someone who is less privileged than yourself in that area. If your leg hurts, talk to someone with no legs. If you can’t afford a new car, talk to someone who has no car. If you have to share an apartment with four other people just to make ends meet, talk to a homeless person. If you don’t like your job, talk to someone who’s been unemployed a while, who’s gone on many interviews with no call backs. If you think this country sucks, talk to someone from a third world country.

The fact is that we will always have something else we want – something that could be better – there’s no perfect situations here on earth. But experiencing true happiness starts with being grateful for what you already have. Once you embrace the things you DO have with a thankful heart you will see God show up and show out in greater ways!

Think about it as a parent. If you had a child who was always complaining about their things; their phone isn’t new enough, their clothes aren’t fresh enough, their shoes aren’t made by the right designer. Now, what if you had one who thanked you all the time; for putting food on the table, for encouraging their talent, for working to provide them with a safe home environment. Tell me you wouldn’t want to show even more blessing to the grateful one? God is our heavenly Parent – act toward Him in the way you would want your children to act toward you and see if your life doesn’t take a sharp turn toward more lasting happiness.

God’s Direction And Protection

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

God has many ways of pouring out His favor and goodness on our lives. This scripture says that He is your sun and shield. What does the sun do for us? It lights our way, keeps us warm, and nourishes the plants of the earth so that we can have food. Think about that for a moment. The earth is sustained by its relationship to the sun and God wants to sustain you through your relationship with Him. He wants to give you direction and be your shield of protection against all the attacks of the enemy.

In the natural it’s easy to fall into the trap of relying on the things of this world to direct and protect us. But when we put our trust and hope in our heavenly Father, not only does it enrich our relationship with Him but it also opens the door to the supernatural realm. It’s at this level where you experience supernatural favor, wisdom, divine connections, new ideas and so much more.

Today I want to encourage you to choose to put your trust in God and receive His blessing of direction and protection. When you trust in Him, He shines His light on your path and leads you forward into the blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

The X Factor

I’m sure you’ve heard of the show called, “The X Factor.” The judges study the different contestants and try to figure out who has that indefinable ‘something’ that makes them stand out. You can’t necessarily put your finger on it. It’s not just talent, looks or personality. There’s something about them that gives them an advantage.

In the same way, when God breathed His life into you He put something in you to give you an advantage in life. There is something about you that makes you stand out, something that draws opportunity, something that causes you to overcome obstacles, to accomplish dreams. The bible calls it, “the gracious hand of God.”

This manifests in life as God’s favor. It’s His blessing. You can’t put your finger on it. It’s not just your talent, your education, your hard work. It’s the Creator of the entire universe breathing in your direction. I encourage you today to put your shoulders back and hold your head up high. Call on God to show you His amazing plan for your life and seek His direction in executing it to it’s fullest.

Know When And What To Ignore

In order to live the life of victory God has promised you have to be very selective about what you give your time and attention to. The bible says, “Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.” You have to recognize which thoughts to ignore, which comments to ignore and even which people to ignore.

Every “battle” that comes across your path is not a battle that you’re supposed to fight. Many battles are simply distractions from the enemy to try and lure you off course. If that battle is not between you and your God-given destiny, it’s a battle you should ignore.

Many people get thrown off course because they’re always trying to straighten everyone else out or win their approval. But if that’s your focus you’re wasting valuable time and energy that you should be using to pursue your dreams. Turn away from that distraction! You don’t need the approval of everyone around you; you only need God’s approval!

Friend, it’s very freeing when you realize you don’t have to fight every battle. You don’t have to please everybody or straighten people out. Instead, focus on what matters – God’s plan for you. He’s the One ordering your steps so thank Him for planning good things for you and ask His help to discern the things and people you should ignore. Keep seeking His approval above anyone else’s and you’ll learn how to live in peace and happiness every day of your life!

You Are Fully Equipped!

The bible says that God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You can fulfill your dreams. You have the ideas, the creativity and talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle. You’ve been armed with strength for every battle.

Not only has God equipped you but He’s also working on your behalf. Get this down in your spirit today – He has already gone before you and lined up the right people and the right opportunities. Seek and trust God to guide you and you will see that you were created to excel! You may not have seen it in the past but if you’ll stay in faith it’s just a matter of time – victory is on its way!

So friend, don’t settle where you are. Don’t have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, “I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am empowered by the Creator of the universe!” Stay focused on God’s promises and plan for your life so that you can do all He’s called you to do and have all that He’s lined up for you to have!

How To Experience Increase

God has a system that is based on the principle of sowing and reaping. In other words, what you pour out to others will come back to you in increased measure. When you give generously, a generous harvest will return to you. When you help others succeed, you will find abundant success on your path, too.

Are you helping others succeed? Are you helping others get ahead? There are some people in your life who hold the keys for you to reach your full potential. These are people that God has placed in your life for you to help along. The higher they rise up, the higher you will rise up, too.

The bible says, “Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you.” When you give generously of your time, talents and resources, you are setting yourself up for greater success. People will come across your path that will help you grow and reach your full potential.

Do your part to step out and sow the seed. Be on the lookout for ways you can help others. As you give of yourself to help others grow, you’ll see increase in return. You’ll see success and live the abundant life God has prepared for you.

Peace Is Our Position Of Power

Every day we have opportunities to get upset, be frustrated, or get offended. Maybe you had plans that didn’t work out or someone was rude to you for no apparent reason. Maybe you were doing something that should have taken one hour and it ended up taking three. Life is full of inconveniences but even though we can’t always control our circumstances, we can control our reaction. You know the saying, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond.”

The bible says, “Good sense makes a person restrain their anger, and it is their glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.” We should always go out each day with a positive attitude, full of hope and expecting God’s favor. But at the same time, we should recognize that most days are not going to go exactly as we plan.

When you get upset at circumstances beyond your control you only make things worse. Don’t sink to someone else’s level who was rude to you. When something or someone attempts to steal your joy turn it over to God right then. Don’t wait until you’re so wound up there’s no calming you down. You are a child of the Creator of the universe… act like it. Maintain your composure, knowing that God has the ultimate say in whatever comes your way.

We were created to live in peace. Peace is our position of power. If you get stressed because you got off schedule or retaliate against somebody who tried to hurt you, what you’re doing is giving away your power. The more you practice releasing those offenses and disappointments to God for Him to handle, the more you’ll learn to live in peace and enjoy each day as the blessing He intended it to be!

How Do You Wait?

Are you waiting for God to do something in your life? One thing I’ve learned is that waiting should not be a passive thing. When we’re waiting the correct way, we’re on the lookout. We talk like what we’re believing it’s going to happen. We act like it’s going to happen. We’re making preparations.

It’s just like when you’re expecting someone for dinner; you don’t wait till they show up before you decide to start cooking. Most likely you start early in the day. You make sure the house is clean, you go to the grocery store, maybe you buy some flowers for the table. You make preparations because you’re expecting someone.

Well, that’s the attitude we need to have while we’re waiting for God’s promises to come to pass. Put your faith to work. The bible says, “...Faith without works is dead.” You need to start preparing for the answer to come.

I want to encourage you to choose to put actions behind your faith today. Trust that God is at work in your life. And wait the right way — with expectancy — knowing that your faith in Him opens the door for His hand to move in your life. Keep standing, keep believing, and keep hoping because your answer is closer than you think!

God’s Value System

In this day and age, people are considered to be important for so many different reasons like titles, position, possessions, where you go, what you drive. But God’s value system is very different from the value system of the world. God cherishes and values you so much simply because He made you. You are His beloved creation — the apple of His eye; the center of His world!

If you’ve ever thought that God has too many other important things on His plate to be concerned with you and your life, know this today — you are God’s number one priority. And there’s nothing you can do to be more important or less important to Him. He values you today and your value will never change.

You are significant! Your life is significant! The things that concern you, concern God. He carefully watches over every detail of your life and there is nothing too big or too small for His attention.

Today, I hope you find peace and security in God’s love for you. Don’t be afraid to take your concerns and cares to Him. He loves it when you come to Him and He’s ready to receive you with open arms because you are the apple of His eye!

Triumph!

We all have to deal with the unexpected in life. Just because we’re believers, just because we’re good people or doing the right thing doesn’t make us exempt from trouble. The bible says, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust.” But it also says, “…thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph...”

When something unexpected happens or you find yourself facing a crisis don’t automatically go into panic mode or fall apart emotionally. Realize that the crisis is no surprise to God. It may be unexpected to you but God knows the end from the beginning. He has solutions to problems you haven’t even had yet. The bible says that He has equipped you for every battle; that He goes before you to make your crooked places straight.

Today, instead of focusing on your problem, focus on your Creator. Focus on the fact that He is with you. Allow Him to lead and guide you to a place of peace and victory. No matter what has happened He will take what the enemy meant to hurt you and turn it around for your good. When you seek God and allow Him to execute His specific plan for your life He will always lead you to triumph over the enemy’s ploys and tactics. So keep moving forward, trusting that He has a good plan for you!

Conceive It Then Receive It

God is constantly trying to plant new seeds of victory on the inside of you. He’s trying to increase you. He’s trying to enlarge your vision. He wants to take you to new levels of victory. But before you see a harvest, the seed has to take root. You have to conceive it before you are going to receive it.

In other words, before you’re ever going to be successful, you’ve got to see yourself successful. Before you’re ever going to have your dreams come to pass, you’ve got to look out through your eyes of faith and see them coming to pass. That’s how you allow the seed to take root.

Today, I encourage you to examine your thought life. What are you allowing to take root? Are God’s seeds of victory and life growing in your heart and mind or are you nurturing seeds of defeat and despair? The good news is that you can change your thoughts right now, this very moment. Begin to dwell on God’s promises and His goodness. Let His good seeds take root in your mind and heart. It won’t be long before you’ll see that harvest of blessing come forth in every area of your life!

Worry

Is there something that you are worrying about today? To worry means to allow something to revolve in your mind over and over again. But the bible says, “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” God doesn’t want you to live worried or anxious about anything. He knows that worry steals your peace and joy. It affects every area of your life.

I’m sure you’ve heard the term, “worrying yourself sick.” There’s plenty of medical proof that worrying affects your physical body. It affects your sleep. And you won’t ever gain anything by worrying; in fact, you’ll lose precious moments that you can never get back again.

Here’s the good news though. You can decide today to put an end to worry in your life. God has promised that you can have victory over worry. But it starts by making the choice to trust in Him. When you cast your cares on Him like the bible advises then you will experience His peace.

Today, I want to encourage you to choose to feed your faith and fill your mind with God's promises. As you focus on what God has to say about you and your circumstances you’ll drive out worry and fill your heart with faith and expectancy; and you’ll be empowered to move forward into the life of blessing He has in store for you!

It may be nearing the end of a calendar year but don’t wait until January 1st to begin again or believe for new things.

You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet!

If you look back over your life and you’re honest, you can say that God has been good to you. We’ve all seen God’s favor at work. He has protected us in ways we may never even know, He’s promoted us and opened doors for us. That’s God’s favor. But even so, I believe that in the coming days God wants to show you unprecedented favor —favor like you’ve never seen before.

In the bible Paul said that in the “ages to come” we would see “the immeasurable, unlimited, surpassing greatness of God’s favor.” What’s interesting is that Paul wrote this passage ages ago. I’ve mentioned this before, I truly believe that we are now living in the “ages to come” that Paul was talking about. I believe you and I are going to see this unprecedented favor!

You may have seen God’s favor in the past but my message for you today is get ready because you haven’t seen anything yet! What God has in your future is going to be bigger, better, greater and unprecedented! He is going to show you His goodness in ways you’ve never seen before! So keep standing, keep praying, keep putting Him first and watch because His unprecedented favor is about to pour onto every area of your life!

Embrace Who You Were Created To Be

The bible talks about how God has given us the power to enjoy what is allotted and appointed to us. I don’t have the power to enjoy your life and you don’t have the power to enjoy mine. Someone may have more success, more money, more friends or a better job but if you were put in their life, believe it or not, you’re not going to enjoy it like they do. We are uniquely designed to run our own race and the experiences, both good and bad are intended specifically to fit your journey.

Once we truly understand and embrace this we won’t be tempted to compare or wish we had what someone else has. You won’t think, “If only I had their talent...” No, if God wanted you to have that talent He would have given it to you. Instead, take what you have and develop it. Make the most of it. Don’t think, “If only I had her looks...” No, God gave you your looks. That’s not an accident. The life you have has been perfectly matched for you.

Now, as it often is in life you’ve got to do your part. You have to get excited about your life. The bible says that Jesus came not just to give you life but that so you could, “have AND ENJOY your life.” Be excited about who you are! Your looks, your talent, your ability, your personality. If something needs changing, like a bad habit or wrong mindset then do so but the basic YOU was designed by God and you need to embrace, develop and celebrate it.

Today I want to encourage you to choose to put your trust and hope in God. Know that He has equipped you for the awesome calling that was specifically and carefully planned out by the Creator of the universe. When you’re passionate about who you are it brings honor to God. That’s when God will breathe in your direction and the seeds of greatness in you will take root and begin to flourish!

What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Well, I’m glad you asked! And no, I’m not talking about Tina Turner (good song, though!). In our culture today so many people are confused about what love is. We love pizza, movies and sports but we also love our friends or spouse. If we look to the bible we see God’s definition of love.  1 Corinthians 13 tells us that “love is patient and kind. It does not envy, nor boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not seek its own way, is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in the truth. Love believes, hopes and endures. Love never fails.”

This is how God responds to us and this is how we should respond to the people in our lives — with patience, kindness, hope, humility and love. Scripture tells us that God is love, and His character never changes. 1 Corinthians 13 ends with, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE”

Today I want you to understand that God loves you with an everlasting love. He promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has a good plan for your life. Ask for His help to develop this gift of seeing others the way He sees them and responding in love because He is love. Receive His perfect love and let Him transform you from the inside out so that you can experience  the fullness of the blessings He designed for you.

Your Appetite Will Be Abundantly Supplied

God longs to pour out His favor and blessing on you. He longs to show you His goodness and provision. He promises to do His part – but you have to do your part, too. You have to be diligent. The bible says, “...the appetite of the diligent is abundantly supplied.” First of all, be diligent in seeking His ways and following His commands. Then, be diligent with what you have in your hand, with your time and resources.

In Matthew, Jesus tells a parable about three men whose employer entrusted them with some money called talents. Two of the men were diligent and invested the talents and received a great return. The third man was afraid and buried what he was given. The first two men were rewarded and praised for their diligence while the third man was reprimanded.

Follow the example of the first two men and look for ways to be diligent with what you have in your hand. Whatever you do, do it with excellence. Be the best you can be and go the extra mile even when you think it goes unnoticed. God notices even when people don't, and He promises to reward the appetite of the diligent.

Awesome!

If you’re going to reach your highest potential in the natural you will need to have doors open for you that you can’t open on your own. You’re going to need promotion, good breaks, divine connections and God’s favor in a greater way than what you’ve seen in the past.

God said in Exodus, “I will perform great wonders that I have not done anywhere before in all the world. People will see what great things I can do because of the awesome things I’m about to do FOR YOU.” Think about that for a moment and let it take root in your spirit.

This word is for YOU today! God is saying, “I’m going to do something awesome in YOUR life.” “Awesome” means “astounding, remarkable, overwhelming, breathtaking.” Pay attention to this key though, it’s found in the very next verse; it says, “Obey what I have commanded.”

Friend, God is ready to do His part but we have to do ours. When we do things God’s way we get God’s results. When we follow His plan He promises to bless us with life, health, peace and joy. Trust that He is true to His word and opening doors for you that no man can shut. He promises to do what has never been done before so now is the time to get ready for the surpassing greatness of God to show up and show out in your life!

Defy The Difficulty

We all face difficult situations. It’s easy to get frustrated and anxious on the inside. You don’t understand why it’s taking so long or why things haven’t changed. But here’s the thing: just because it’s an uncomfortable place doesn’t mean it’s not where you’re supposed to be.

God uses difficulties to do a work in us. We grow in the tough times. That’s when our character is being developed. God will not allow a difficulty unless He has a divine purpose for it. If we’re going to reach our highest potential, we have to make up our mind, “I’m not going to live frustrated because I am uncomfortable. I’m not going to be upset because things are not happening on my timetable. I’m not going to fight against everything that I don’t like.”

Instead, bring your questions, frustrations, concerns and doubts to God and let Him take control. Let Him have His way in you and trust that He’s at work in every difficult situation in your life. Believe in God’s promises, that He has the best for you. Commit to seeing yourself the way God does and you’ll find yourself moving forward into the victory He has prepared for you.

It’s Coming!

If you will keep God first in everything you do He promises that He is going to crown your efforts with success. Because you diligently seek Him a reward is coming. Favor is coming. Good breaks are coming. Promotion is coming. A shift is coming. Healing is coming. Restoration is coming. It may seem like it’s taking a long time; you may feel like you’ve been holding on forever but keep holding on. The promise will be fulfilled through faith and patience.

The bible says, “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” Waiting doesn’t mean do nothing; it means get prepared. Now is the time to get ready. God doesn’t want you to live an average, ordinary life. Because you depend on Him, He is going to increase you. You are going to bear much fruit. He is going to make you more productive. You’re going to get more done in less time. He is going to make your life easier and take you where you could not go on your own. It’s going to be greater than you ever even dreamed of.

Seek God in every area of your life. Surrender your worries to Him and cast your care because He has promised to work everything for your good. He knows your needs and desires and your day is coming — every promise you’ve stood in faith for, every dream He’s placed in your heart that you’ve struggled for is coming and quicker than you thought!

Beauty For Ashes

It’s easy to have a good attitude and pursue our dreams as long as everything is going our way. That doesn’t take a lot of faith. But what about the difficult times? It’s easy to lose your passion when you’re hurt. Too many people are sitting on the sidelines of life because they’re injured. Now they’re nursing their wounds, not moving forward because of what they’ve been through.

The bible says, “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.” God promised He will give you beauty for those ashes. He said He would pay you back double for the wrongs but you have to do your part. If you’re going to see the beauty, you have to shake off the ashes of self-pity. You’ve got to shake off the discouragement and get back in the game.

Every person has injuries. We all have wounds but you can’t let that be an excuse to sit on the sidelines. Today, I want to encourage you to get back in the game. Know that your best days are still ahead. Trust that God sees the big picture and He’s still working things together for your good. Now is not the time to shrink back! Keep your focus on God’s plan because He has a come back lined up for you beyond anything you’ve ever seen in the past!

Fear what? Fear who??

With God on your side there is nothing to be afraid of. Our attitude should always be, “The Lord is protecting me so why should I be afraid?” Maybe you feel attacked, maybe you feel trapped. But just because you may not see a way out, because the bank statement looks like you’re not going to make it, because someone isn’t appreciating you the way they should, remember that God is still on the throne. Nothing you’re facing is a surprise to Him.

The bible says, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” God is going before you fighting your battles for you. He is the Creator of the universe and nothing can change His plan for your life as long as you follow His direction.

No matter what’s going on with you today, remember the enemy doesn’t have the final say. When you put your faith and trust in God, He said He will always cause you to triumph. Be strong and be of good courage. Keep God first place in your life and move forward in confidence trusting His promise that He is working ALL things for your good!

False Evidence Appearing Real

God’s desire is that we continually progress, that we reach higher heights and go to new levels in Him. Oftentimes, as soon as we make the decision to step out in faith and obey God the enemy brings in fear to try to stop us. He’ll bring thoughts like, “What if you fail? What are other people going to think? What will you do if this happens? How are you going to make that happen?” He’ll do his best to use fear to try to convince us to shrink back and stay where we are.

The bible says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” Fear is a spirit. It plays on our emotions and holds us back. But the good news is that we have power over the spirit of fear! The bible also says that perfect love casts out all fear. When we receive God’s perfect love we will have confidence about the future because we know His plans are for our good.

I’ve heard it said that fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. Understand that fear is a lie. Don’t buy the lie. Instead, choose to believe God’s Word and receive His love so that you can overcome fear and move forward into the blessings He has prepared for you!

Me And You Time

Are you facing challenges today or feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances? Perhaps what you see on the outside doesn’t match what God has placed on the inside of you. The key is: don’t sit around in self-pity, depressed or discouraged. Go out and find someplace you can dream and connect with your Creator.

Go to the park and watch the sunset. Look up at the stars and think about His goodness. Take a break from the environment that seems to be holding you back. Find a place that inspires you, a place where you can focus. Choose to separate from your circumstances and environment and meditate on your relationship with God – let your faith be elevated.

Also, I want to encourage you to invite God to remove wrong people from your life and bring you right ones. To make room for people who are going to build you up and not tear you down; positive people who are going to challenge you to rise higher and become all that God has created you to be.

If you’re going to enlarge your vision you’ve got to break away from any person or thing that’s limiting you. Seek an atmosphere of victory and success and you will see yourself move forward into the good things God has prepared for you!

Don't Let Anyone Stop You

The bible says, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

How many people today are not being true to who God created them to be simply because they’re afraid they’re going to disappoint somebody? They’re afraid they may fall out of someone else’s good grace. They worry about not being accepted into a certain group.

You can’t live your life trying to be who your parents want you to be or who your co-workers want you to be or who your friends want you to be. More important than any of that is staying true to who God has anointed you to be. Don’t allow any person, even your own thoughts to stand in the way of you becoming and having all that God created you to be and have.

Today, make the decision to live life to please God even if that doesn’t please some people. If you stay open and obedient to Him you can rest assured that He will protect your way. Surrender yourself wholeheartedly to who God created you to be. Let Him mold and shape your character. Let Him order your steps. When you submit your life to Him, He will shine down on you and you’ll live the fulfilled, abundant life He has prepared for you!

Now Is The Time To Get Ready

So often we miss out on God’s best because we give up too soon. We don’t realize how close we are to our victory. Just another few days of believing, another few weeks of doing the right thing, or another few months of staying in faith is all you may need to see His promises come to pass.

Today, I want to speak by faith over you. Your breakthrough is right around the corner! You might say, “I don’t know how I’m going to make it. Things seem to be getting worse instead of better.” But the truth is that the promise your heavenly Father gave you is closer than you think to coming to pass.

I have found that the intensity gets turned up when victory is near. The enemy wouldn’t be fighting so hard if he didn’t already know he was about to lose his grip on you. When those negative thoughts come to discourage you, just remind yourself that you are loved and treasured and protected by the Creator of the universe. Let your words be what He says about you, “You are an overcomer. You are a victor and not a victim.”

The bible is full of people who were closer than they thought...

•David faced impossible odds against Goliath but he was moments away from victory (1 Samuel 17).
•Elijah was surrounded by 400 false prophets but the power of God was about to be revealed for everyone to see (1 Kings 18).
•Joseph was forgotten and left in prison but he was just a dream away from his royal position (Genesis 39–40).

Can you imagine if David dropped his slingshot and ran? What if Elijah had backed down? What if Joseph had stopped dreaming? They didn’t give up and God gave them victory! These stories reveal that it is often the darkest right before the dawn.

Perhaps today you’re facing impossible odds. Maybe you feel surrounded, maybe you feel forgotten. The good news for you is that our God can act suddenly in your situation. In a moment’s notice everything can change for the better!

I believe and declare over you that God is going to open doors on your behalf in the very near future. Your faith will be rewarded. Your dawn is almost here! He will put you in the right position and He will do the impossible in your life. Now is the time to get ready!
