On Earth As It Is In Heaven

When Jesus was teaching how to pray, part of what is commonly referred to today as the Our Father prayer says, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God longs to give you a glimpse of heaven while you‘re still here on earth. He wants to show you His wonderful plan and bring it to pass in your life right now.

Have you ever thought about how God’s will is accomplished in heaven? In heaven, God’s will is automatic. There are no opposing forces of darkness or anything that would come against His will. On earth, we have to reject the negative, self-defeating thoughts and stand against the opposing forces that come against His will. We must make a commitment and choose His will on a daily basis – in our thoughts, words and actions.

I want to encourage you to open your heart to the will of God. As it says in Ephesians 6, you will be empowered by your union with Him. Just because you may not feel that way or see physical evidence of it today, keep declaring what God says about you so you can be empowered to overcome whatever opposition you face. Stand strong in your faith and watch as God's will comes to pass in your life, here and now!

Your Reward Is Coming

Have you been praying and believing for something that seems like it’s taking a lot longer than you thought? Many times, people can miss God’s best simply because they give up before they see their “due season” come. Don’t let that be you!

The bible says, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” Be encouraged today because your answer is closer than you think! If it seems like things are getting more difficult, remember, when the intensity heats up, that means you’re closer to your victory. It’s always darkest just before the dawn.

You serve a faithful God, and He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. Don’t cast away your confidence today because your reward is coming.

The key is to keep an attitude of faith and expectancy while you’re waiting. Wake up every morning and say out loud, “I’ve come too far to give up now. My due season is coming!” Stay in faith and look for His hand of blessing because He has promised you victory, and it’s closer than you think!

Quality Time

God wants to empower and strengthen you to overcome every obstacle in this life. He wants to bless you with the confidence, wisdom and boldness to pursue the dreams and desires in your heart.

In the bible, everyone around Peter and John marveled at their boldness and ability. In Acts 4:13 it says Peter and John were supernaturally equipped. The people knew Peter and John didn’t have any formal training or education. This power and wisdom could have only come from one place – the Creator of the universe.

When you spend quality time with your heavenly Father, people will be able to tell. You’ll be energized by His anointing and equipped by His grace. That’s why it’s so important to take time every day to be in His presence. No matter where you are on this earth, His presence is only a prayer away.

The bible says God is near to all who call upon His name. It says that He inhabits the praises of His people. Make your relationship with Him your number one priority and watch as you become more empowered and blessed each and every day!

Live Forward

Have you made the decision to forget the past? Many people don’t fully understand what that means. They wonder, “How can I forget something that’s happened to me?” But one definition of the word forget is to disregard intentionally or to overlook. In other words, you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t keep you from moving forward.

I really like what Paul said to the Philippians, “I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past, it’s time to forget what lies behind.

Today, make the choice live forward. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. You always move in the direction your focused on, so as you forget what lies behind and press forward, you’ll move forward. You’ll be able see the increase and blessing of God’s plan for you and start to live the abundant life He promised!

God’s Plan

God wants to see you prosper in this life. He wants to see you come out of setbacks stronger, wiser, increased and promoted. He wants to give you hope and help you reach your full potential.

When my Mom died from lung cancer in 2008 I was devastated. She was my best friend and the most important person on the planet to me. I didn’t know how I was going to make it through. But one of the greatest gifts my Mom blessed me with was developing in me a strong dependence on God. She taught me that He never ends on a negative.

Instead of getting stuck on that page, I kept moving forward little by little. It wasn’t easy by any means and I was depressed for a long while, but I did my best to still be good to people – at least in order to honor my Mom’s memory, even though I was still upset with God.

When I look back today, I see His faithfulness. Even though I was rebellious and bitter and acted out at Him, God never turned His back on me. And now I can say like King David, “Look what the Lord has done!”

I have such peace and contentment because of the trust I have in God. That whole period was the worst in my life, but it brought me into an amazingly close relationship with my heavenly Father, and I wouldn’t trade the current level of confidence and stability that has given me for anything in the world.

Remember, when you encounter adversity, know that God isn’t finished yet. He never ends on a negative. He has more in store for you – just keep pressing forward. Don’t let your thoughts get stuck on your circumstances. Instead, lift up your eyes to Him. God said He has, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope.” SEEK HIM FIRST, and trust that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf, then you will see Him lead you to that place of peace and prosperity you desire.

Be The Flower Not The Weeds

One time I was walking this property that a friend of mine was thinking about buying and building a house on and I remember the piece of land being filled with weeds. All these dead, dried-up weeds had covered up everything. As we walked a little further in, I saw a single, beautiful flower that had grown up among all those weeds. It was so colorful and so different from everything that surrounded it. I thought, “That’s what God wants us to be: vibrant and blooming wherever He’s planted us.”

So often, people get caught up in behaving like the ‘weeds’ around them; settling for being ordinary and doing like everyone else. If you let your circumstances control how you act then you’re going to have an unstable, insecure life. But when you choose to trust God and allow Him to develop the strong virtuous character He’s called you to demonstrate, then you stand out. You bloom and people notice there’s something different about you, and they want to know what it is. That’s a powerful testament to the glory of God and we’re called to be that good example in the world.

Many times we have to pass a test before God will promote us. Just like a teacher in school or the boss on a job, God wants to know how well you are managing what you already have on your plate. How are you acting when you don’t get everything you want or don’t get it on your timetable? To pass this test means you go out each day with a smile on your face and a spring in your step. It means you give God glory in everything you do, no matter what season you’re in. Choose to bloom where you're planted and watch God take you to that higher level you’ve been praying for.

Be Still And Know

In our culture most people are used to having constant activity: computers, cell phones, television, email, video games. There’s nothing wrong with any of that but the Bible tells us that we need to stop and be still so we can focus on knowing God.

I’ve found this to be true especially during the difficult times. When you’re facing a challenge it’s easy to want to run to a friend or talk about it with a family member. At some point you will come to God. But the fastest way to find peace is to seek Him daily. That way, even when troubles come you’re already in close relationship with Him and knowing God means learning to rest in Him.

The bible says, “Be still, and know that I am God...” Once you commit to putting this into daily practice, you’ll find that instead of falling apart when things don’t go the way you expected, you will be able to say, “God, I rest in You. I know You have me in the palm of Your hand.”

Remember, our battles are spiritual battles. The people in your life aren’t the source of your problems, the forces of the enemy are. When you choose to be still and know that your Creator lives on the inside of you, you’re putting yourself in a position of strength.

Today, I want to encourage you to take time to be still before your heavenly Father. Let His peace cover you. Let Him refresh you and trust that the battles you face belong to Him. Make time to be still before Him and seek His will so you can experience an increase of peace and confidence in every area of your life!

When God Anoints Something

In the bible, oil is symbolic of the anointing of God. Do you know what oil does? It makes things flow better. Whenever there is friction or something gets stuck, putting oil on it makes it more maneuverable. That’s what God wants to do for you. He wants to anoint you with oil.

When He does that, notice what David says in Psalm 23, “Because God anoints me, because I walk in His favor; surely, goodness and mercy will follow me everywhere I go.”

Friend, God’s anointing makes things easier. People will go out of their way to be good to you for no reason. You’re going to have creativity, wisdom and good ideas. God’s anointing on your life will cause the right doors to open. It will bring the right people across your path. It will make things go smoother.

How do you receive God’s anointing? All you have to do is ask Him for it. Remember, He longs to be good to you! And you can trust that even when you’re asking God to anoint something He knows isn’t right for you, or the best for you, He will not give it to you. This means you can’t go wrong!

Your heavenly Father will only open the RIGHT doors and bring the RIGHT people into your life. I read something once that I keep in my heart about God’s answers to prayer. They’re only 3 possibilities: 1) Yes. 2) Not yet. 3) I have something better in mind. When you let Him do the choosing you can trust you will always end up with the best possible things for your life.

Seasons

When trials and challenges come,it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or discouraged. You may feel lost or uncertain about the future. That’s when we need to turn our hearts and minds to God because He has promised that no matter what we face, we can have His perfect peace. We can feel His perfect love. We can have confidence because He has already overcome the world.

The key is that we have to keep it all in perspective. We have to remember that the trials that come our way are only temporary. We may experience tragedy or loss in one season but that will pass. With God there are always seasons and though we have seasons of sowing and waiting, we will also come into seasons of reaping and increasing.

Today I want to encourage you that your season of harvest is closer than you think. Don’t let the enemy talk you out of it! Remember, when difficulties arise, instead of letting fear paralyze you put your faith and hope in God. Those things that the enemy means to hurt or discourage you, God will turn around for your good. He’ll lead you out stronger, wiser and more blessed than ever before!

Restoring Your Soul

God wants to restore your soul today. Your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions. You are a three-part being: you are a spirit – that’s the part of you that lives for eternity, you have a soul and you live in a body while you’re here on earth.

Your soul is where you may store hurt, disappointments or brokenness from the past. When God restores your soul, He brings His healing power to those broken places and makes you whole again. And when God restores you He makes you better off than you were before. He makes you stronger, more alive, and more loving.

The bible says, ““The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul...” I love the picture painted in this verse. Notice that He leads us beside quiet waters. He makes us lie down in green pastures. This is a picture of rest.

When we are resting in Him, He is able to do a work in our lives. He is able to bring that restoration. Don’t let the busyness of life keep you going so fast that you don’t stop and rest. Take time to be still before the Lord and let Him restore your soul.

Resurrection Power

We have a reason to celebrate life every single day because the God we serve is alive. His resurrection power didn’t end on the cross 2,000 years ago; His power is still at work today. Not only did He resurrect Jesus from the dead, but He wants to extend His resurrection power into every single area of your life, too.

Maybe you have a dream to get out of debt or be free from a burden of lack, but it looks impossible. Business is slow; the economy is down. Maybe you think you’ve gone as far as your education allows.

I want you to know that God is saying, “I’m not limited by those things. I have resurrection power. I can give you one break that will thrust you to a new level. I can open up doors that no man can shut. I can bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. I can cause people to go out of their way to want to be good to you for no reason.”

Today, get your hopes up. Get your expectancy up. Remember, He is risen, and He is alive. There’s a shift coming, and He is faithful to His word. Let His resurrection power flow into every area of your life!

Receive!

This weekend we celebrate Easter, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So much happened at Calvary’s cross over 2,000 years ago, but ultimately Jesus overcame sin and death so that we can have abundant life in Him. Because of Jesus we can have victory over anything that would try to hold us back.

No matter what burden or addiction has held you captive in the past, when you acknowledge Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you receive His power – His burden-moving anointing. The enemy can’t hold you back because who the Son sets free, is free indeed! (John 8:36)

It all starts by believing and receiving this promise. Then, as you meditate on His word and draw close to Him, more of His power becomes alive in you. Today, if you’ve never made Jesus the Lord of your life, I can think of no better time than now to do it. Click this link for more information:

Receive His truth and life and celebrate true, eternal victory!

God Always Finishes What He Started

As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, I think about when they crucified Jesus. On that Friday, it was the darkest, most painful, discouraging day of His life. In fact, it was so bad that He sweat drops of blood. It looked as if His enemies had gotten the best of Him.

But God had other plans. They put Him in the grave on Friday, celebrating their victory, but Sunday morning it was a different story. The grave could not hold Him! Death couldn't contain Him! The forces of darkness couldn't stop Him! On the third day, He came out of the grave and said, "I was dead, but now I am alive forevermore!"

One principle that the resurrection teaches us is that God will always finish what He started. No matter how dark it looks, no matter how long it's been, no matter how many people are trying to push you down; if you will stay in faith, God will always take you from Friday to Sunday. He will always complete what He started in you!

Take Your Limits Off of God

Too many times we limit God with our thinking. God puts big dreams in our hearts, but in our eyes they look impossible and too big to accomplish. Although we want to see our dreams come to pass, we end up focusing on the mountain of obstacles before us. You look at your situation and begin to wonder how, and if, God will ever bring your dreams to pass.

Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Be encouraged today that God can do the impossible. He can supernaturally make all of the dreams He’s planted inside of you come to pass.

What are you focusing on today? Your situation may seem impossible, but God sees it differently. See your dreams through eyes of faith, the way God sees them fulfilled. Take your limits off of God. He has limitless ways to bring your dreams to pass.

Make room in your thinking today for the dreams God has for you. If things look hopeless in the natural, put your confidence in the promises God gave you. Trust in Him to make all things possible for you. As you do, you’ll begin to see your dreams come to pass in ways you never imagined!

Thank You!

God wants you to receive His strength and power but you can’t do that when you’re only dwelling on your problems. When you’re thankful it not only ministers gratefulness and hope to your spirit but it also opens the door for God to move on your behalf. Don’t just focus on what’s wrong in your life; focus on what God can do when you surrender your life to Him.

No matter what’s going on, you can always find something to be thankful for. We should always pray with the attitude that, “Father, I may be sick but thank you that it’s not terminal, thank You for being my Healer.” Or, “I may be struggling in my finances but thank You for food and shelter in the meantime while you’re restoring abundance back to me.” Or, “I may be lonely right now, but thank You for taking care to line up the absolute right person for me.”

As you give thanks in everything, you will see God’s hand move mightily on your behalf, and you’ll come out of that difficulty better, stronger and wiser than before. Today, choose to give God thanks in all things. Trust that He is faithful, and has good plans in store for your future!

Unlimited Supply

If I had a thousand gallons of water to give you but you only had a one-gallon container, you wouldn’t be able to receive what I had for you. The problem would not be with the supply. It would be with your ability to receive. If you would get rid of the small container and get a larger one, I could give you much, much more.

It’s the same way with God. We might have a tendency to think, “The economy is down. I could never afford that house I really want. My business will never grow. I’ll never get out of debt. I don’t have the right people behind me.” No, you’ve got to get rid of that one-gallon bucket. Get rid of that small-expectations mentality.

The God we serve is a big God! He has an unlimited supply. Jesus said, “According to your faith it will be done unto you.” It’s not according to God. God has all the power, all the resources in the world. It’s according to what we believe.

Paul said in Ephesians, “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him.” Today I pray that prayer for you as well, and that you will increase your capacity to receive. Enlarge your thinking by meditating on the promises of God. Praise Him and thank Him because with God all things are possible, and He has an unlimited supply!

Brighter Days Ahead

Are you facing a situation that seems dark today? As a believer, God promises that your path will shine brighter and brighter as you seek His truth and righteousness in every situation.

What is righteousness? Righteousness is simply being in right standing with God. Being in right standing with God is about submitting your life to Him. It’s about obeying His directions and seeking His plan for your life on a daily basis. As you seek Him, the light of God’s will guides you in every decision you face.

No matter what’s happening in your life today, take time to ask your heavenly Father to shine His light on you and your path. Ask Him to confirm His plan for you.

As you continue to make His plan a priority in your life, you will experience more of His blessings. You’ll see those brighter days as you move forward more and more into the good plan He has in store for you.

Get God’s Attention

As believers, we have the honor and privilege to enter boldly into God’s presence. The bible says that we can come BOLDLY to His throne of grace and receive His mercy. Because He loves us, He has given us unlimited access to Himself 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Notice the bible doesn’t just give us permission to come boldly but it also tells us in Psalm 100:4 that we should come to God with our praise and thanksgiving. We are supposed to come to Him with an offering of gratitude from our hearts because He is worthy.

We have to understand, praise isn’t just about singing songs on Sunday mornings. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to our heavenly Father for Who He is and all that He has done. Praise is a powerful tool in the life of the believer because praise gets God’s attention!

When we come to Him the right way, that’s what allows Him into our circumstances. And when God shows up, the enemy must flee! The debt, the attack on your relationship, the self-esteem issues, the addiction, all of that is from the enemy and once you open the door for God to take over, you can rest assured He will move mightily on your behalf!

Don’t Settle For A Mediocre Life

Today, I want to remind you of what God says about you. No matter what’s happening in your life right now, remember that you’re not limited by your resources, your talent or your background. The Creator of the universe has equipped and empowered you, even if you don’t see how right this second.

I want to encourage you, don’t you dare settle for a mediocre life! Let me call forth the seeds of greatness inside of you. I declare that your best days are still ahead. I declare that you’re going to go further than anyone in your family ever did. I declare that you’re going to live at the higher level that God lined up for you!

In order to fully receive these promises you have to remind yourself CONSTATLY that before anyone put a curse on you, your heavenly Father put a blessing on you. Walk and live in that blessing by declaring His promises, following His commands and staying fully committed to Him in everything you think, say, and do!

Use Your Words!

Your words have incredible power! With your words, you set into motion the direction your life will go. That’s why it is so important for us to get in agreement with God and speak the goodness, favor and blessing of God over our lives.

When you speak words of faith and promise into your life, you are actually calling out the potential God has placed inside you. Your words have the power to propel you into your destiny.

So many times, people focus on the negative things in life. They don’t realize that they have incredible gifts, potential and talents lying dormant, just waiting to be called into action. Speaking negative words is like dropping an anchor right where you are.

But when you begin to declare the blessings and favor that the Creator of the universe already promised you, you’re pulling up that anchor and hoisting your sails. You’re positioning yourself to catch the winds of God’s favor.

Today, it’s time to declare, “I am a strong, equipped, empowered, anointed child of the Most High God. I’m not second-class. I’m not ordinary. I’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. I have great things in my future!” When you speak life-changing words, the winds begin to shift in your direction. God fills those sails of faith and sets you on a greater course than you could have ever imagined!

Be Willing To Fight For Your Rightful Place!

We all have giants or obstacles that try to keep us from possessing what God has promised, especially in our dreams. We have two choices: we can quit and live in mediocrity, or we can fight and take hold of our God-given destiny.
In the bible, the children of Israel were camped right next door to their Promised Land. God had already told them He would give them the victory; all they had to do was go in and fight for the land. But, when they heard how big their opponents were, they had such a weak, defeated mentality that they just gave up. Their attitude was, “What’s the use of even trying? We’ll never defeat those people. We might as well just stay out here in the wilderness.” They settled for mediocrity because they weren’t willing to fight.
Friend, don’t let that be you! The battle you have to fight today is in your mind. You have to change your thinking in order to possess God’s promises. Start choosing thoughts of faith and victory. Declare that you are an overcomer. As you stand and fight and win the battle in your mind, you’ll move forward and embrace the promises and dreams that God has for you!

He Will Move Mightily On Your Behalf

Have you ever been so in awe by something that you just couldn’t help but talk about it to everyone you knew? Maybe you were excited about a new relationship, a job or vacation. But nothing on earth can compare to what God wants to do in your life.

He wants to amaze you with His goodness and overwhelm you with His love. He wants to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever ask, think or imagine. He wants to do things in your life that you’ve never seen before. He wants to impact you in such a way that you can’t help but talk about Him!

The key starts with us. Our faith in God is what opens the door for Him to move and sets the blessing in motion. God has given every person a measure of faith. He has given us all the ability to believe and receive from Him.

Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the word of God. As you meditate on His word and receive His promises by faith, He will move mightily on your behalf. It won’t be long before you just can’t help talking about His goodness everywhere you go!

Praise & Be Raised Or Complain & Remain

“Praise and be raised or complain and remain” is a phrase Joyce Meyer says often and it’s really so true. Praise and strength go hand in hand. When you give God praise, He gives you strength. When you thank God in advance for the answer, that’s what keeps you encouraged.

Remember, you’re not going to stay strong in faith by complaining. Complaining drains you of strength and energy. You’re not going to stay determined if you’re talking about how bad it is.

No, switch over into praise. “Business may be slow, but Lord, I want to thank You that You prosper me even in a desert.” “The people coming against me may be powerful, but Lord, I want to thank You that You are all-powerful.” Praise will keep you moving forward!

So often we think, “I’ll give God praise after the problem turns around.” But if you don’t learn this principle, to thank God in advance, you won’t have the strength you need to wait for the promise.

Every morning when you wake up, start the day by saying, “Father, thank You that my dreams are coming to pass. Thank You that this problem is turning around. Thank You that You are bigger than this obstacle.” Keep praising Him and keep receiving His strength so you can boldly embrace the amazing plan He has for you!

Call Out The Seeds of Greatness

Very often we see potential in other people that they can’t see in themselves. When you speak vision into them, when you tell them what they can become, you can help set a new direction for their life. Your words have the power to push people into their divine destiny!

I experience no greater honor in life than when God allows me to take someone who seems beaten down and I get to speak hope back into them. I truly believe that the reason some people are not living at their full potential is because no one has ever spoken faith into them. No one has taken the time to say, “Hey, you’re great at this! You’re going to do something amazing!”

I am certain that one of our most important assignments in life is to call out the seeds of greatness in other people. Look around at who God has placed in your life. They’re not there by accident. Take time to study them. See what they’re good at. What are their gifts? What do they excel at?

I want to encourage you this week to not just think about it, but speak vision into those around you. Tell them what they can become. Let your encouragement ignite the greatness on the inside of them. Help them rise up in confidence so they can be all God has called them to be. One of the best ways to experience greater blessing in your own life is to be a greater blessing in someone else’s life.

Exceptional

We all face challenges. We all have obstacles to overcome. But if we can keep the right perspective, it will help us stay in faith so that we can move onward to success. You may feel right now like the challenges you face are too big or too overwhelming.

One thing I’ve learned is that average people have average problems. Ordinary people have ordinary challenges. But remember, you’re not average and you’re not ordinary. You are extraordinary! God breathed His life into you. You are exceptional, and exceptional people face exceptional difficulties. The good news is that we serve an exceptional God! He will pour out His exceptional grace, exceptional power and exceptional favor onto every area on your life.

When you have an extraordinary problem, instead of getting depressed and feeling hopeless, be encouraged because you’re an extraordinary person and have an extraordinary future. You are on an extraordinary path and your path is shining brighter and brighter.

Today I want to encourage you to keep standing in faith, keep the vision of success in your future, keep declaring God’s promises. Choose to keep relying on His unfailing love and keep expecting the exceptional favor that He promised you!

Dream Another Dream!

The bible tells us that without vision, people perish. If you don’t have a dream or vision for your life then you’re not really going to reach your fullest potential. Maybe at one time you had a dream but you went through some disappointments or setbacks. Things didn’t turn out the way you planned.

But here’s a key: when one dream dies, dream another dream. Just because it didn’t work out the way you had it planned doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have another plan; even a better plan. One of my favorite scriptures in the bible says, “ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ ”

You can’t allow one disappointment or even a series of disappointments to convince you that your dream is over. It’s time to dig your heals in and hold on to the promises God placed in your heart. Stir up those God-given dreams today and watch Him pour out His favor and blessing upon you, and fulfill every desire in your heart!

Don’t Get Stuck In The Past

The bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” The very moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we instantly become a new creation. Our spirits are made alive in Him, the old passes away, and His peace fills our hearts.

Of course, everything in your life doesn’t change instantly. Some things do but some things God will do in your life over time, as you grow in your relationship with Him. The key is to keep moving forward in your spiritual journey one step at a time. Keep your eyes forward and don’t get stuck in the past.

Today, be assured that God is at work in your life. You may not be where you want to be. You may have made some mistakes or had some setbacks. But remember, in Him, you are new. In Him is everything you need to achieve the goals and dreams He’s placed in your heart!

Yes And Amen

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? The bible says, “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes.” This means you don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life.

The whole verse says that God’s promises are “yes and amen.” Amen means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass.

Like with your children, no matter how much you have to give them, if they aren’t managing well what you already entrusted to them then you would wait to see them become more mature and responsible before granting them any more.

The good news though is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because just like you do with your children, He wants to see us live a blessed life. And that’s why His promises are “yes” and “amen”!

Your Real Heritage

In life, we all have negative things that happen to us. We go through situations that are unfair. I know people who were raised in unhealthy environments. Their parents had issues, and now they’re allowing that to make life much more difficult on them.

But here is the truth: when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He gives you a new heart. The bible says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” In other words, your bloodline changes.

No longer are you subject to your earthly heritage; you become subject to your heavenly heritage! God’s spiritual blessing always overrides the curse in the natural realm. When you understand who you are and what your heavenly Father has already done, then no matter what someone else did, no matter how unfair it was, no matter how you were raised, you won’t get bitter. You won’t live with a chip on your shoulder. You will realize that nothing can stop you from fulfilling your God-given destiny!

Today, no matter what sorts of dysfunction may have been handed down in your family, remember you were created by Almighty God. He gave you life. When you choose Him, you are choosing your heavenly heritage of blessing and abundant life!

What Do You Believe?

One of the greatest abilities God has given each one of us is our ability to believe. If you believe God’s word, you can be successful. If you believe God’s word, you can overcome mistakes of the past. If you believe God’s word, you can fulfill your God-given destiny.

There is incredible power in what you believe. What you believe is greater than your circumstances, greater than your trials, greater than your medical report, and greater than your bank account! When you get into agreement with God and believe what HE says about you, then what you believe will supersede any natural law.

Today, nurture your seeds of faith by dwelling on God’s promises. As you get the word of God in your heart, faith will come to you. Faith will grow and strengthen in you. Faith will rise up in you and empower you to take hold of all the blessings God has for you!
